The diplomatic relationship between Morocco and the Philippines, now celebrating half a century, stands as a foundation to build upon in key sectors, according to Leslie Baja, the Philippine Ambassador to Rabat. This milestone, marked last year, highlights decades of collaboration shaped by high-level exchanges, landmark agreements, and deep human connections he describes as “the bedrock for the next fifty years of partnership.”
Economic ties have seen a remarkable upswing in recent years, Baja noted. While bilateral trade has surged by nearly 50%, both nations believe there remains untapped potential to further expand commerce and investment flows between them.
